NADA NADA NADA

To anyone who is following my blog (although at this point I am convinced that I am the only one) I haven't been able to write ANYTHING for my book lately. For three reasons:

  1. SCHOOL. Not only has school been a GIGANTIC pain in my ass lately, it has a vice grip on my creative capabilities. I have been eating, breathing, and sleeping my classes. Let me be the first to tell you, Not A Tasty Treat.
  2. My DARLING daughter. love of my life. Oh sweet little baby why must you cry when mommy tries to write?? It's as if she knows that I'm trying to get stuff done, therefore she must cry all day if I do not hold her. Parenting tip: DO NOT PICK UP YOUR BABY ALL THE TIME, IT"S BAD FOR YOUR WELL BEING!!!
  3. Bird- Where do I even begin?? DEEDEE YOU ARE A MOTHER F@#$@&! STOP SQUAWKING BEFORE I FEED YOU TO THE DOGS!!!!!
  4. CUJO- my little teensy wheensy yappy chihuaha
  5. SCHOOL! Did I mention my freakin workload??????

More to post later...If I haven't stuck my head in the oven.
KIDDING. (kind of)

Frosted Ponies

Okay, so since my picture of the Foxes was so small, I figured I'd post yet ANOTHER picture, but this time of ponies I took awhile back...I know, I'm going picture happy. But I figured it would be a fun picture to post...

and YES, I have been working on my book, in case you were wondering...I have been generating ideas like  crazy and I am now trying to figure out how it is all going to fit into my story...Maybe I can incorporate foxes and ponies into it in some way...Hmmmm

Fox Trot

Just wanted to share a picture of the beautiful foxes that have been in my backyard lately. They are in the bottom left corner, enjoying a little sun after all the snow we've had! Love, love, love that this is my first time I had ever seen a fox and I get to see TWO of them!!!

 How's that for inspiration?

Two Sentence Trauma

I added two sentences to my book today, YAY! And then I got stuck...so I decided to go online and search for publishers for this two-sentence book. I know, pathetic right?  I have the attention span of a 4 year old hyped up on chocolate milk.

It is so hard to stay focused right now...I'm thinking it has something to do with the fact that I have eaten one tiny bowl of oatmeal and a bite of a sausage mcmuffin. Yuck. Apparently, writing has the opposite eating effect on me...Or maybe  it's because all I have to eat in my house is peanut butter and jelly. I need to go food shopping ASAP!

I'll update in a few...who knows...maybe I'll be up to THREE GLORIOUS SENTENCES by then. I sure hope so.

Chapter 1: My 3 a.m. Wake up call

Couln't sleep last night so I decided to get up and start writing on my book. I have a pretty good idea of what it is going to be about HOWEVER, that being said, I don't really know the overall direction of my story. There are so many directions to go in and that's the problem. As it turns out, when you write your own book, anything is game.

Why can't this be like an English assigment???

Preview

Something occured to me yesterday shortly after creating this blog...

How am I going to share this, exactly?

How do I know that any of the information I put on my blog won't get picked up by another person and used to their benefit? In other words, I can't exactly put any details of my book online. Although I HIGHLY doubt if anybody is even going to read my blog at this point, but I still don't want to risk it. You guys must think that I think pretty highly of my ideas, don't you?

I can ASSURE you, I do :)

Kidding, of course.

So, In the simplest terms and most convenient definitions and for the sake of keeping up with the progress of my book through this blog, I bring to you...

A surefire way to bore the hell out of you:
  • I will continually keep you posted on the progress of my blog. A simple where I am at, what time I am writing, and how long until I crack.
  • The goings on of my personal life while I am writing this book.
  • The mental state I am in at the time of writing. Note: Cranky equals angsty Sylvia Plath material which is NOT children's book material
  • The amount of food I have ingested. Does writing a book make you fatter??
Hope you decide to join me on my travels. Oh the places we'll go!

The Project

I am FINALLY going to do what I have been talking about to myself for a very long time...

The inspiration came earlier to me today, when I was reading about the 25 Multimillionares Who Never Finished High School and Can Own Your Ass if They Wanted To. After reading the article, I though to myself, how hard could it possibly be? If these celebrities can make their start without even having a high school diploma, what's stopping me? I have a high school diploma and I am in college. So, here it comes...

I AM GOING TO WRITE A CHILDREN'S BOOK.

I have exactly 365 days in which to write this book of mine, while keeping up with a 6-month old, doing homework for school, and making sure the house doesn't fall to shambles. Hopefully, you can join me on this journey of mine and keep me motivated. This is one project I plan to finish...
